Last i remember they did come with remote keys and one key that's just normal key.

I'm guessing you bought your Terrain used?

If you do need a remote key, programming for that key will be needed, you will have to go to your GMC dealer for that.

He meant to ask if one can activate the remote starter on a GMC Terrain SLE-1, which doesn't have OEM remote start. Is it possible to add the option just by reprogramming the BCM or computer and would the dealer do it?

Didn't know the Terrain SLR-1 didn't have an OEM remote start.

I doubt it would be as easy as reprogramming the BCM or computer, remote start systems are not really complex but if you seen the various types of remote start kits, they have quite a bit of hardware. So i'd imagine the dealer would have to install some hardware and do some programming to the computer to get all this to function properly.
