The Facebook for Cars is not a bad idea but it will take a while for mass amounts of people to start using that website. Not everyone will really care what happened to their car or it's current state. Only the true hardcore enthusiast will go on that website to track their car down and it will take a while to get a good solid membership base of people like that.
I would feel uncomfortable about giving my vehicle's info and location out on a site like that since it's asking for thieves to start lurking for cars they want.
Well from what i know also it picks up where the car was last registered, and you have to search for it, the car isnt imputed, just where the last City/place it was registered in.. well that how i think it works atleast.
But a really cool idea, time to hunt for my old papers about my old cars....
