My wife and I recently test drove a 2 SLT GMC Terrain. While we both really like the vehicle and are leaning towards purchasing one, I noticed that while almost everything seemed to be lit up at night, I did not notice the mirror switches being lit up? Is this the way it's designed, or did we by chance drive one that wasn't working properly? No big deal, just thought it strange as her current vehicle ('05 Impala) they light up. Also, if anyone has pics of the interior at night, post them up, I couldn't find very many online. :(

Also, anyone know why dual climate control isn't offered? Here again, it's something we've grown accustomed too, and I'm not sure we're going to be able to over look it. We've discussed the fact the Terrain has heated seats, but I'm not sure that's going to be enough........I know on our recent trip to see our daughter, my wife had the heat almost all the way up on her side, and I was running it just a couple clicks above cold on mine.

I also test drove a 2 SLT GMC Terrain and didn't pay much attention to the mirror switches but i can't recall it lighting up, im sure if it did i would have noticed it.

Usually the cars we get to test drive go through a lot of hands and get a lot of km's/miles on them. Might be that a fuse was blown at the time of testing? some cars are notorious for blowing fuses.

I think the one we test drove had less than 10 miles on it. Someone that owns one in another forum advised they don't light up, so I'm going with that. Apparently the stalk with the wipers/fog lamp switch doesn't light up either. I know I had to turn the interior lights on, just to find the fog lamp switch!

Can't believe GM missed out on things like that, we can really use lights for the switches. A lot of cars these days have it, even older cars. Sometimes i wonder.....

Maybe with a revised GMC Terrain model we will see this become available. What you think?

I wouldn't count on it. Especially considering they seem to keep trying to cut corners. Even the Corvette lost it's under hood light over the years. I was REALLY impressed with the Terrain, but it's these little things that just make you wonder "what the heck were they thinking?"

Exactly what I was going to say.

I HIGHLY doubt the GMC Terrain will go through a lot of changes, if they cut back on lighting we could really use, just imagine what they would/wouldn't do.
