blind spot alert come on when raining or snowing,gm tech says it can happen under normal weather conditions, so what good are these warning light, 2017 terrain slt,,,anyone else having problems on any gm cars or trucks

When droplets of water gets on those little sensor buttons in the bumper it senses something..So use your mirrors more to be sure when it rains.

gm tech says it can happen under normal conditions ,also sensor is behind fender not bumper,buttons in bumper are not blind spot alert

I always thought those buttons on the Front and Rear bumpers (on any modern vehicle), are for collision impact that trigger the airbags?
