Change Timing belt warning 2018 Diesel

My 2018 Terrain Diesel just passed 100,000 miles. I then got a warning, "Change Timing Belt, see owners manual". I check manual but nothing about this, then took it to dealer and they said it has a Timing Chain not a belt and they don't know anything about the warning. So now everytime I start the car I get the same warning. Does anyone know anything about this?

I just passed 100,000 on my 2018 and got the same warning. Nothing in the manual, dealer had no idea but when I took it in said it’s an interference engine with recommended timing Chain replacement at 100,000mi. Transmission has to come out to even see if the chain looks worn. 16hrs of labor… $4400 ? I haven’t done it. So disappointing! I really like the car but it’s not worth having to do this every 4 years. Now I’m trying to decide if I trade it or not.
Also, after calling non- dealer diese mechanics in my area, they have all said it needs to go to the dealer.

Dealer cleared code $45. GMC says dash info system was designed for another engine. So no problem with engine, although GM should fix for free.
After a little more investigation, this is more info on the timing chain for the 2018 terrain. It is prone to failure if you believe this article is credible. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Medium_Diesel_engine
