[Canadian-Terrain]

Hello,

I need to know the Terrain towing capacity. It's a vehicle I will use mostly to commute and pick up my kids with, but I will need to tow some things throughout the year such as my boat and trailer that I use on the job.

From what I have read the inline 4 is lacking torque and power to tow anything, you might overload and blow the motor. The v6 is what is needed it has that extra power that allows the car to tow that boat of yours!

But i will bet back to you with the towing capacity

Just read a recent post about the detailed spec's towards the GMC Terrain.

This is what i found
Capacities:

Trailer Towing* Maximum (lb./kg):
3.0L V6 = 3500/1588
2.4L I4 = 1500/680

Hope, its big enough for your Boat/trailer.

The 3500lb tow rating should be good for most small fishing boats. Dont forget the tow rating also includes the weight of the trailer as well.

Yeah the inline 4 wont be able to haul much... If you really need the towing id go for the v6 unless you want to have your transmission turn into mush.

3500LB tow rating is fair enough unless you plan to haul your entire house with you.
