Intellilink Brightness

Is there a way to make the screen as bright during the day as it is at night? I have a difficult time seeing the screen unless I am driving directly into the sun and then the screen will brighten. I suppose there is a sensor that controls this. The rheostat that controls the brightness of the instrument panel does not give me enough light. Thanks in advance.

Hey Roban,

I know what you're talking about...The light sensor is on the center dash next to the windshield..it's the little bubble looking thing...Mine takes a few seconds to adjust the screen brightness after I back out of the garage..but it does it..I have found in the past that if a film of dust or anything is on that sensor, it will take forever to adjust to the brighter outside ambient light..Cloudy days and late afternoon light will also make it sluggish to react..
Just make sure it's clean...There is no adjustment to the setting on this that I know of.

BTW..do you mind mentioning the year and style of your Terrain ?
Thank you for the reply DPK. I thought as much.

Update. Your post about the sensor being on the dash gave me an important clue. I am an EMT and my emergency lights were on the windshield directly on top of the sensor. I moved the light to the left and VOILA all is well and brightness is restored. Thanks for the input.
