I have been through a touchless car wash twice now with my new Terrain, both times water has come through to the passenger seat.
Previously when hand washing I had noticed a stain on the moon roof sliding cover, so obviously it had leaked when being washed at the dealership.

In reading other such stories on the internet this is considered "normal"

Any opinions or recommendations for a fix please

have you taken a look around the rubber seals?
it might be cracking due to bad material or improper installation
