Hi All!

I’m new to the GMC family! I’m from SE Pennsylvania. I personally liked the redesign Terrain and after reading a lot of online reviews and comparing it to other vehicles in its category it was the only one I test drove.

It’s a 2018 AWD SLE. 1.5 Turbo. Definitely more sluggish than 2.0. Regret now not getting the 2.0 turbo. The color is ebony twilight metallic.

I missed driving an SUV and traded in my Honda sedan that had all the bells and whistles and probably faster than my Terrain.

I love the inside of the vehicle. Very roomy and comfortable.

However, now that I had it for over a week I’m thinking of some mods. It’s a lease so I don’t want to go crazy. Now I have the 17s. I don’t want to change the rims bc I like the stock ones plus $$. Perhaps a little wider tire? All weather. And finally running boards. I loved the look of the Denali and SLT, but really wanted to keep my monthly payment low.

Bought the 2017 SLE in April and asked the salesman ( a friend) about the running boards. His reply was, the vehicle is not high enough to need running boards. You are wasting your money. He suggested simply adding the molded splash guards instead but buy from third party for half the price. I do like the looks of running boards too but, he is right. Your car and your money, you're the one who drives it. But, it is a lease that you will be giving back. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Running boards would be impractical really...But if you are looking for some looks..I think Nerf bars would add some flare and serve the same purpose.
