I was wondering if i purchased a all new Terrain, how long would the break-in period be?

How about would i break it in, should i use the easy break in method, that just slowly drive the car and cruise with it, and dont drive it hard. Or i ve read on another site saying how you should drive it as hard as possible withing the first 40 kms, so you break in the motor properly.

any idea anyone?

I dunno =/ from what old dealer told me, i thought it was only around 5000km to break in a car, but if its different for all cars i don't quiet know.

As a general rule..most modern cars are, already to go..But to be safe, I would keep low to moderate RPMs if I could help it..no jack-rabbit take-offs and vary speeds while on the hi-way..and last, try not to hit the brakes too hard ...all this within the first 1000 miles should break it in just fine..

I also recommend as I do..Change the oil and filter at the first 1000 Mile mark too...and then every 3000 miles on conventional oils, or every 5000 miles on synthetic oils...there after.
