So my fiancees Terrains wiper turned on and stopped halfway up the windshield. I took the motor/linkage system out and saw that one of the bushings had come off. I reconnected the bushing and now one wiper goes up while the other goes down but I'm not sure why.

You got it out of time..reverse the parts you reconnected
